Ingredients

  • 3 C Pioneer Baking Mix
  • 1 C Whole Wheat Flour
  • 8 oz Cottage Cheese
  • ¾ C Sprite
  • ¼ C Butter, melted.
  • 1 # Turkey Breakfast Sausage
  • 3 ½ C 2% Milk
  • 1/3 C Flour
  • ½ C Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbsp Black Pepper
  • Kosher Salt to Taste

Directions

Biscuits:
  1. Combine first five ingredients in a large bowl and mix well, until a dough forms.
  2. Turn out on a floured surface and pat or roll to ½ inch thick.
  3. Cut into 18 biscuits.
  4. Dunk each biscuit in the butter.
  5. Bake in a 420 degree oven for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Gravy:
  1. In a large nonstick skillet sauté the turkey sausage until brown, crumbly and cooked through.
  2. Drain off all but 2 Tbsp of the fat.
  3. Add the Flour to the sausage and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Add milk and bring to a simmer over medium high heat.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve with biscuits.

You may want a bigger spoon.
